The Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for the accurate processing of Company invoices.

Specific Job Qualifications:

1.    Education and/or Experience - Must be at least 18 years of age and have obtained a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); associate’s/bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field from a college, technical school, or university, and/or 3-5 years equivalent work experience is preferred.

2.    Language Skills - Ability to speak, read and comprehend English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or Team Members of organization.

3.    Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

4.    Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

5.    Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel and Word). Must be familiar with most types of modern office equipment including copiers, computers, phones and fax machines.

6.    Other Skills and Abilities - Must be dependable, honest, efficient, courteous, and personable. Must be self-motivated and be able to work with a minimum amount of supervision. Must be able to acquire and maintain a thorough working knowledge of the entire assigned department, including Company policies and procedures.

Must demonstrate ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously. Requires self-direction, tact, diplomacy, and a clear, courteous and professional manner when dealing with the public, store and office personnel. Must be able to demonstrate an energetic demeanor. Must demonstrate effective oral communication skills, and the ability to work cooperatively with staff inside and outside of the department.

The Team Member must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. 

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
(includes the following; however other duties may be assigned at any time by Management)

1.    Customers are the focus of everything we do. We are in the people business and all Team Members are required to demonstrate friendly and sincere customer service. This includes, but is not limited to, the ability to smile, greet, assist, and thank our customers. You must present yourself in a professional and courteous manner with all customers and Team Members.

2.    Will work a minimum of 40 hours per week, but additional hours may be required as circumstance arise.

3.    Overtime may be required based upon business needs.

4.    May be required to work prior to or after normal business hours in order to complete designated assignments.

5.    Attendance is an essential function of the job and Team Members are expected to arrive to work as scheduled and on time.

6.    Demonstrate the highest degree of integrity as it pertains to confidential and sensitive information. Such information will be kept confidential at all times and will not be shared with other parties unless directed to do so.

7.    Process invoices timely and accurately while ensuring they are paid on time and according to terms.

8.    Match purchase orders with supplier invoices to ensure accuracy.

9.    Maintains entry of accurate coding as it relates to the general ledger.

10.    Monitor supplier accounts to ensure payments are timely and up-to-date.

11.    Correspond with receiving departments, Merchandising department, and suppliers to resolve discrepancies.

12.    File claims with suppliers when discrepancies arise.

13.    Reconcile monthly statements from suppliers.

14.    Maintain files on all open and closed invoices.

15.    Perform other duties as requested from time to time by Management.

16.    Report any and all unsafe conditions to a member of Management immediately.

17.    Report suspicious behavior to the Loss Prevention Department or Management.

18.    All Company issued property must be returned at the time of the Team Member’s termination of employment.

19.    Team Member may be re-assigned at any time to another department and/or position on a temporary or permanent basis, at the sole discretion of Management
